DANCE MUSIC INVASION Every major city in the world has an Electronic Music or Dance music festival with the exception of New York City until now.This year's Dance Music Invasion 2007, a debut event in New York City, is held at 10 clubs throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn and features 30 different artists. The artists range from Top 10 international Dj superstars like LilLouie Vega and Thomas Fehlman (the Orb) to underground critic favorites like Alix Alvarez and Christopher Just. It plays in megaclubs like Avalon and Shelter to underground hotspots like Sullivan Room or Studio B in Brooklyn. The inspiration of Invasion 07 as it is nicknamed, is to put a spotlight on fantastic new international music like minimal, emotional techno, the dubsided sounds and many more sub-genres that bring fresh influences and excitement to the dance music world. -Larry Tee 2007
